Zachary Ray Meares, age 17, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017. He was born February 23, 2000 in Cumberland County to John Cole and Tonya Tucker Meares.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ertle Meares, and his maternal grandmother, Martha Tucker.

He is survived by his parents; his brother, John Cole Meares, Jr. of the home; two sisters: Candace Jackson and husband Chris of Lumberton and Ashleigh Brooke Meares of the home; his paternal grandmother, Joann Meares of Lumberton; his maternal grandfather, Carlos Tucker of Lumberton; his girlfriend, Kaylin Flantos of Lumberton; and a host of extended family.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Oneil Parker and Rev. William R. Meares officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery.
