Yvonne Wilkins, 90, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on September 30, 1931 to the late Neal Brantley Rice and the late Myrel Elizabeth Kinlaw Rice.

Before his passing, she enjoyed traveling with her late husband. While at home, she enjoyed spending time in her sun room, cooking big meals for her family, going to church every Sunday, and also loved being with her children. She was also a graduate of Lumberton High School, Class of 1949.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Wilkins; a brother, Charles Rice; and two sisters, Elizabeth Britt and Naomi Rice.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Patty Dean (Clayton McIntyre) of Lumberton, NC; a sister, Betty Speed of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren, Kate Abbott and husband Thomas and Amy Dean Hernandez and husband Erick, all of Lumberton, NC; and a great-grandson, Carter Abbott of Lumberton.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Gardens of Faith Cemetery, 5190 Fayetteville Road  in Lumberton with Rev. Joe Bounds officiating.
