Worth "Lihn" Baxley Sr. of Lumberton, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2013 at Southeastern Health in Lumberton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Worth and Nora Baxley. He also was preceded in death by a brother, R.C. Baxley. He is survived by one son, W.L. Baxley and wife, Julie, of Lumberton, NC, two daughters, Anita Williford and husband Ricky, and Denise Strickland and husband Tony of Wilmington, NC . Mr. Baxley also has two brothers, Douglas Baxley of Lumberton, NC and Eddie Baxley of Pembroke, NC; three sisters, Elnora Hollingsworth of Red Springs, NC, Patty Sue Baxley of Chadbourn, NC and Marie Cox of Lumberton, NC; two grandchildren, Brittany Bailey and Marissa Herring and two great grandchildren. Mr. Baxley was in the insurance business for over 30 years. The family will receive friends at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. on Wednesday evening from 7:00-9:00 pm and other times at the residence of W.L. Baxley Jr. at 204 Wisteria Drive, Lumberton, NC . There will be a funeral service at 11:00 am, Friday, October 18, 2013 at Floyd Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mark Meadows officiating. The burial will follow at the Ten Mile Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumberton.
