Mr. Woodrow Wilkins, Jr., age 84, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on October 27, 1939 to the late Woodrow Wilkins, Sr. & Effie Mercer Wilkins. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and farming, and he was known for lighthearted joking spirit and "always giving people a hard time".

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Pittman Wilkins; his brothers, John Wilkins and Ralph Wilkins; and his grandson, Joshua Meares.

He is survived by his daughters, Norma Jean Johnson and husband Wade of Lumberton, NC and Teresa Meares and husband William of Cameron, NC; his grandchildren: Haynes Johnson, Lauren Johnson, and Miranda Meares; and his great-grandchildren, Joshua "J.J." Johnson and Emilia McNulty.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday, March 3, 2024, from 1:30-2:00 PM at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM.
