Wilma Joyce Payne Moore of Lumberton, NC died at home on Thursday, August 17, 2017.  She was born in Newport, AR to the late Clayton and Bertha Mitchell Payne.  She was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who truly loved the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Burnice Moore; a daughter, Sheila McKissack; a brother, Clayton "Tom" Payne; and sisters, Louise Shepard and Betty Barrett.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her daughters, Susan Connor (James) of Lumberton and Sharon Holland (Jerry) of Savannah, TN; grandson, Christopher Connor and girlfriend, Traci Johnson; brother, James Houston Payne of Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters, Doris Averill (Duane) of Knoxville, TN and Linda Taylor (Earl) of Myrtle Beach, SC; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Johnny Bruce officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Meadowbrook Cemetery.  A time of visitation will be held prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
