Mrs. Wilma Graham Chavis, age 99, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020, at home. She was born in Robeson County, NC on January 27, 1921 to the late Rufus Graham and the late Mary Brayboy Graham.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Monroe Chavis, and a son, James "Randy" Chavis.

She is survived by two sons, Robert B. Chavis and Croummie Joe Chavis; five daughters: Mary Chitwood, Shelby Jane Chavis, Alice Faye Freeman, Ernestine Chavis, and Sheila Pierce; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2020, at 10:00 AM at Reedy Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Hilton Woodell officiating.
