Wilma Grace Carter, 87, of Lumberton, NC died on Monday, July 6, 2009. She was born September 17, 1921 in Robeson County to Jetter Conner and Nellie Britt. Mrs. Carter was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, J.I. Carter.

Mrs. Carter is survived by three sons, Billy Carter and wife, Jimmie Lou of Fayetteville, NC, Johnny Carter and wife, Belinda and Timmy Carter and wife, Terri all of Lumberton, NC; two daughters, Patsy Parker of Red Springs and Penny Britt and husband, Sonny of Lumberton, NC; one sister, Eloise Lee of Lumberton, NC; sixteen grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the East Lumberton Baptist Church with Reverends Michael Carter, LeRoy Burke and Michael McGehee officiating. Burial will follow at the New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
