Mr. Willie Ross Hunt, age 74, of Fairmont, NC passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Scotland Memorial Hospice of Laurinburg.

He was born August 18,1950 in Robeson County to the late Roscoe Hunt and the late Leadie Mae Hunt.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Carlee Jacobs and Patsy Hunt; a grandson, Glenn Andrew Brooks.

He was a truck driver, and loved riding motorcycles and spending time with his family.

He is survived by two sons, Willie Evans Hunt (Juanita) of Maxton and Ridge Hunt (Jessica) of Norfolk, VA.; three daughters, Tonja Jacobs (Antorious McRae) of Fairmont, Brenda Lynn Brooks (Glenn) of Maxton and Belinda Oxendine of Lumberton; four brothers, Vernie Hunt of Rural Hall, Allen Hunt and Don Hunt, both of Fairmont and Leroy Hunt of Lumberton; one sister, Jeanette Oxendine of Lumberton; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 from 1:00-2:00PM at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 427 Gaddy Road, Fairmont.

Funeral services will immediately follow in the church at 2:00PM.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
