William Lesley Wilcox, Jr., age 82, of Lumberton, NC died on Wednesday, November 4 2009 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County on April 27, 1927, the son of William Lesley Wilcox, Sr. and Rhoda Lamb Wilcox. He was a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force.

Mr. Wilcox is survived by a son, Alan Wilcox and wife, Sandra of Deland, FL; a daughter, Lucretia Thompson and husband, Scott of Richmond, VA; a brother, Donald Kinlaw of Lumberton, NC; three sisters, Rachel Ivey of Lumberton, NC, Helen Crenshaw of Lumberton, NC, and Elizabeth \\"Lib\\" Britt of Holden Beach, NC; and two grandchildren, Brittany Thompson and Serena Thompson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Sand Hill Baptist Church in Lumberton with Rev. John Bruce officiating. A time for visitation will follow the memorial service.
