Obituary

William Glenn Walters, beloved son of Peggy Page and Leroyce Claybourn Walters, passed away on June 13, 2026, at Angel House Hospice Center, Whiteville, North Carolina.  He was born December 18, 1964, in Fairmont, North Carolina. Glenn was a source of inspiration and love for all who met him. "Big Dog" approached life with joy and enthusiasm and enjoyed meeting people and making friends.

Glenn loved celebrations, especially his birthday and Christmas, and was ready to dance, laugh, and enjoy a delicious meal with dessert.  An afternoon ride in his red Jeep was one of Glenn's greatest delights.  He also enjoyed time spent at Ocean Isle Beach with friends and family.  Glenn helped his parents babysit his many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews and was an integral part of their lives, spending days at the beach and pool, attending school events, graduations, and weddings.

Glenn is survived by his parents, Peggy and Claybourn Walters, his brothers, Danny Walters, and wife, Mary, and Michael Walters and wife, Barbara; nieces and nephews, Daniel Walters (Allison), Morgan Strickland (Jeremy), Mary Page Pierce (Walt), Josh Walters (Morgan), Beth Nash (John); great nieces and great nephews, Grace Walters, Mallie Walters, Lilly Ann Walters, Seth Harrington, Will Strickland, Mac Strickland, Margaret Strickland, Dempsey Pierce, Stuart Pierce, Libby Pierce, Ava Klein Walters, Claybourn Walters, Harris Walters, Charlie Nash, and Sam Nash.  The family appreciates the loving care extended by Lori Taylor, Connie Ellis, Tara Stephens, Marcia Jones, and Benji Leggett.
