William Garfield Swett (Penn), departed this life on Tuesday morning, May 4, 2021 at the age of 75. He had been in declining health for several years. William was the son of the late Rev. Percell Swett and Ruthie Swett.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Vardell and Willie Swett; one sister, Mary Swett; and a precious granddaughter whom he loved very much, Ashley Marie Hunt.

William leaves to cherish his memories his loving daughter, Helen Marie (Ronnie) Scott; five brothers, Marvell, Wilmer, Bobby, Lathan, and Percell Swett Jr.; two sisters, Stella Jackson of Pennsylvania and Ellen Locklear of Concord, NC; two grandsons, Jr. Hunt and Sean Ivey; his great-grands which were the center of his world, La-Kiyah Marie Wilson and Kendrick Paul McCallum.

A visitation will be held on Friday May 7, 2021 from 11:00AM-1:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday May 7, 2021 at New Bethel Methodist Church in Fairmont with Bishop Kenny Mitchell officiating.
