William Oliver Seitz, age 91, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014 at Woodhaven Nursing Center in Lumberton. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 25, 1922 to the late Conrad Seitz and the late Clara Bundow Seitz. He was formerly employed at JFK Airport and as NYC taxi driver. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Theresa Seitz. Mr. Seitz is survived by his wife, Christine Seitz; two sons, Mark Seitz of Rockport, ME and Bruce Seitz and wife, Joanna of Fredericksburg, VA; one daughter, Judy Whritenour and husband, Raymond of Lumberton; two sisters, Claire Calone of Houston, TX and Jane Perrone of Coral Springs, FL; seven grandchildren, Laura Schrum, Donna Howard, P.J. Bailey, Eric Whritenour, Lorena Seitz, Ryan Seitz, and Casey Seitz; and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 21 at 12:00 Noon at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Charles Mayes officiating. A time of visitation will follow the service at the Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. Inurnment will be at a later date at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, NY.
