William Francis "Sam" Ragen, age 73, of Orrum, NC died on Monday, September 12, 2016.  He was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 8, 1943 to the late James and Hilda McCann Ragen.  He previously worked in textiles as a machine operator.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, William James Ragen; two brothers and one sister.

Mr. Ragen is survived by his wife, Theresa McCandless Ragen of the home; a daughter, Theresa Ragen Hoffman (Bill) of Bradenton, FL; grandchildren, Timothy Hoffman, William Ragen, James Ragen, and Debora Ragen; and great-grandchildren, Kaylie Hoffman, Landon Hoffman, and William Ragen, Jr.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jeff Blackburn officiating.  A time of visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00-3:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
