William Elbert Poston, age 57, of Fairmont, NC died on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on June 1, 1952 to Elbert B. Poston and Beulah Strickland Poston. He was a floral designer.

He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Graham Blease Poston and one adopted son, Graham Nathaniel Poston.

Mr. Poston is survived by two brothers, Keith Poston of Mt. Olive, NC and Horace Strickland of Albemarle, NC; six sisters, Elizabeth LeGrand of Silsbee, TX, Connie Bell of Laurinburg, NC, Shirley Nance of Goldsboro, NC, Pauline Poston, Annette Badgett and Shelby Jean Oxendine all of Lumberton, NC.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont with Rev. Jesse Yarbourgh officiating.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.
