William P. "Bill" Copeland, age 77, of Lumberton, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born December 7, 1939 in Bertie County, NC to the late Willie Marvin Copeland and the late Mildred Ward Copeland.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Todd Copeland; his son, Jeffrey Copeland and three sisters.

He is survived by two daughters, Roberta Hoggard and husband, Jeff of Windsor, NC and Beverly Curlings and husband, Bobby of New Bern, NC; his fiancé, Juanita Eastman of Lumberton; four grandchildren, Shannon Lockamy of Robersonville, NC, Cameron and Trent Curlings of New Bern and Colton Hoggard of Windsor and two great-grandchildren, Addison and Chloe Lockamy.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 4:oo PM at Covenant Worship Center with Pastor Mike Warwick officiating.  A time of visitation will follow the service at the church.
