William Eugene Morris, 79, of Lumberton, NC died on January 8, 2012 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County, NC on April 4, 1932 to the late Vernie Morris and Clara Edwards Morris. He previously worked as the owner/operator of Morris Auto Parts.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Chapman Morris and a son, William David Morris.

Mr. Morris is survived by a daughter, Karen Pittman and husband Ricky of Lumberton and three grandchildren, Brandon David Morris, Sarah Elizabeth Pittman and Ashley Nicole Pittman.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Rowland Cemetery with Rev. Joe Bounds officiating.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
