William Clyde Lovett, Sr., age 80, of Lumberton, NC died on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.  He was born in Robeson County, NC on June 27, 1936 to the late William J. Lovett and the late Jennie Enzor Lovett.  He was a self-employed electrician.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Janie Louise Davis Lovett.

Mr. Lovett is survived by his son, William Clyde Lovett, Jr. of Lumberton; daughters, Connie Lawson of Lumberton and Jennifer Danford (Brandon) of Panama City, FL; brothers, Franklin Lovett (Sara) of Lumberton, and Jack Lovett of Lumberton; grandchildren, Danielle, Brandon, Rene, Brandi, and Zachary; five great-grandchildren; and special friend, Tammy Taylor Thompson.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Long Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Brett Young officiating.  Burial will follow the service in New Hollywood Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
