William Paul Leggett, age 60, of Fairmont, NC passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014 at First Health Hospice House in Pinehurst, NC. He was born in Mullins, SC on August 24, 1953 to the late Muriel Leggett and the late Alice Nye Leggett. He was a railroad welder of CSX Transportation. Mr. Leggett is survived by his wife Jewell Brown Leggett of the home; son, William "Todd" Leggett and wife, Renee of Lumberton; daughters, Julie Leggett Cox and husband, Travis of Lumberton, and Kami Leggett Parham and husband, Christopher of Fayetteville; brother, Elwood Leggett of Fairmont; sister, Gale Wilcox of Fairmont; and six grandchildren, Alissa Cox, Jonathon Cox, Blake Leggett, Raven Leggett, Kaylin Parham, and Mia Leggett. A time of visitation will be held on Friday evening, July 18, 2014 from 6:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Meadows, Rev. Brett Young, and Pastor Bruce Suggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Britt-Edmond Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to a hospice facility of your choice in Robeson or Moore County.
