William (Bill) Lawrence Kebort, 71, of Lumberton, NC died on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. He was born in Jamestown, NY on June 3, 1940 to the late Gerald R. Kebort and late Veda K. Hoard Kebort. He formerly worked as a cafeteria manager for the North Carolina Department of Correction.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Stone.

Mr. Kebort is survived by sons, Erris Atkinson and wife Chyrel of Lancaster, SC and Jerry Kebort and wife Nancy of Fayetteville; three daughters, Jowanna Cox and husband Rufus of Lumberton, Roslyn Roberson and husband Ray of Walterboro, SC and Annie Thomas and husband Gary of Lumberton; one sister, Barbara Johnson of Jamestown, NY; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Meadowbrook Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Broadwell officiating.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
