Mr. William Robert Hunt, age 72, of Lumberton passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC.

Funeral services will be held Friday January 6, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Northside Independent Church with Rev. Timmy Hunt officiating.

Burial will follow in Lumbee Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held Thursday January 5, 2017 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

Mr. Hunt was born September 16, 1944 in Robeson County to the late Trussie and Lizzie Bell Oxendine Hunt. He retired from the Army National Guard after 31 years of service.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Louise Marshall and Effie Mae Hunt; and four brothers, Harry Lee Hunt, Shelton Hunt, Dick Tracy Hunt, and Rocky Hunt.

He is survived by his wife Annie Hunt of the home; seven daughters, Troy Ann Kirk (Toderick) of Roxboro, NC, Cathy Hunt (James Flanders), Valentino Hunt (Gerald), Samantha Jones (Terrell Thompson), Robin Ann Hunt, Makayla Wright (Andrea Wright) all of Lumberton, and Marlena Hunt (Terry Sealey) of Fairmont; four brothers, Redell Hunt of Fairmont, A.G. Hunt of Lumberton, Nelson (D.C.) Hunt of Lumberton, and Glenn Hunt of Charlotte; three sisters, Hazel Locklear, Sandra Gail Locklear both of Lumberton, and Carlinda Epps of FL; seventeen grandchildren four great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
