Mr. William Furmage "Pete" Hunt age 68, of Iona Church Rd. Fairmont passed away Monday, August 18, 2014 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. Funeral services will be held Thursday August 21, 2014 at 4:00 PM at Dogwood Baptist Church with Revs. James Hunt and Gary Deese officiating. Burial will follow in New Bethel Holiness Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday August 20, 2014 from 7-9PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont. He was born August 30, 1945 in Robeson County. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Dallie Hunt and Sallie Locklear Hunt; two brothers, James Albert Hunt and James Donald Hunt. Pete leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife, Wanda Hunt and children; James Steven Lambert of Fairmont, Katie Chanda Hunt of Pembroke, Jacqueline Hunt of Lumberton, and Tammy Lambert of Maxton; two sisters, Nora Dean Hunt "Don" of Fairmont and Ima Jean Oxendine of Rowland; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; as well as four special nieces, Sally Denise Oxendine, Adrienne Barnes, Carla Hunt, and Tonya Hunt; a special sister-in-law, Kathy Huntalso a very special friend, James "Pa" Pighet; and a host of other relatives and friends.
