Mr. William Marshall "Buck" Thomas was born March 10, 1953 in Allegany County, Cumberland, MD.  He entered into eternal rest on July 1, 2023 at home surrounded by his family, completing his journey of 70 years.

Mr. Thomas served in the US Army, serving in Korea in Intelligence Communications.  He was an honored veteran.  He was a very proud American.  A man of many talents – in which, throughout the years, gave him the nickname "The Tinker".

Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Joseph William Thomas; his mother, Helen Joyce Brinkman; stepfather, Paul A. Smith; two special friends, Gahaija McLellan and Terrie McLellan.

Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Patricia Thomas; one daughter, Litisha Thomas and special partner, Marcus McLellan; two grandchildren, Abryanna Thomas and Radian Thomas, all of Lumberton, NC; five sisters, Denise Jacobs of NC, JoAlma Hall of VA, Lisa Pittman of AL, Michelle Thomas of MD and Teresa Martin of MD; one brother, Joseph Thomas of OR; one uncle, Hugh "Red" Brinkman of TX; two aunts, Edwina Hendrixon of PA and Mary Lou Tyson of TX and many in-laws, many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 from 1:00-2:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

A funeral service will follow the visitation on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at 2:00PM with Rev. Tracy Locklear officiating.
