William Bruce Bullock, age 63, of Rowland, NC died on Wednesday, September 21, 2016.  He was born in Mullins, SC on July 11, 1953 to the late Winfred Bullock, and Patty Jackson Hodge.  He was a Major with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.  He is a veteran of three years with the United States Army, served five years with the Lumberton Police Department & Robeson County Sheriffs Department, and twenty-five years with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

He is preceded in death by his father; his wife, Janice McNeill Bullock; and a brother, John Marshall Tolar.

Mr. Bullock is survived by his mother, Patty Jackson Hodge of McDonald; a son, William Bruce Bullock, Jr. (Temple) of Bennettsville, SC; brothers, Percy W. Bullock (Debbie) of Ocean Isle Beach, Tommy Bullock (Kathryn) and Michael Bullock of Sandy Ridge; sisters, Cathy B. Shooter (Charles) of Rowland and Jeannie Bullock of Sandy Ridge; and four grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.

The funeral will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 2:oo PM at First Baptist Church of Rowland with Rev. Thomas Allen officiating.  Burial will follow in Rowland City Cemetery.
