William Martin "Bill" Britt, 66, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born August 20, 1950 to the late James Edward & Avis Tyner Britt. He was a veteran of the US Army and was later employed as salesman for Lumberton Ford.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Edward Britt.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Faye Shaw Britt of the home; his son, Brandon Whitaker of the home; two brothers: Dennis Britt of St. Pauls and Wayne Britt of Sanford; three sisters: Mary Freeman of Atlanta, GA, May Ingram of St. Pauls, and Carol Willoughby of Lumberton; and several nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will take place prior to the service on Monday, May 22, 2017, from 1:00-3:00 PM at United Pentecostal Church of Lumberton.

Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM with Rev. LeDon Barnhill, Rev. Roy Barnhill, and Rev. Lacy Norris officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith.
