William Lewis Baxley, Jr., age 57, of Lumberton, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.  He was born in Bladen County, NC on September 25, 1966.  William was a longtime, faithful member of Love Grove Baptist Church in Tar Heel where he served as a deacon.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Lewis Baxley.

Mr. Baxley is survived by his wife, Angela Baxley, of the home; his mother, Lucille Baxley of Tar Heel; his son, William Carl Baxley of Colorado Springs, CO; two sisters, Karen Baxley Cain (Jeffrey) of Tar Heel and Katherine Baxley Nicholson (Steven) of Hallsboro; two grandchildren, Natalie Eleanor-Ann Baxley and Emma Kay Baxley; his father-in-law, Jimmy Bass of Fairmont; niece, Holly Edwards (Brandon) of Lumberton; nephews, Chase and Kix Nicholson of Hallsboro and Jack Gonzalez of Greensboro; great-niece, Harper Edwards and great-nephew, Bryson Edwards, both of Lumberton.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 2:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Mr. Wayne Lee officiating.  Burial will follow at Burney Family Cemetery, 565 William Burney Road, Tar Heel.
