William Carl Bass, age 73 of Fairmont, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 29, 2016 at 2:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont with Revs. Paul Priest, Mark Bateman, and Bruce Brumfield officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 28 2016 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

Burial will follow in Olivet Cemtery in Marietta, NC.

He was born April 19, 1942 in Robeson County.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Generatte Bass and Bernice Mishue Bass.

He is survived by his wife Clara May Bass of the home; one son, Jason Carl Bass and wife Amy of Fairmont; one daughter, Sonya Rena Silcox of Lumberton; three brothers, Ronnie Strong, J. E. Bass, and Jerry Bass; two sisters, Judy Bass and Bonnie Bass; and four grandchildren, Tony Silcox, Jordan Butler, Gabby Silcox, and Ava Silcox.
