Wilbur D. Lane, age 65, of Lumberton, NC died on Monday, April 12, 2010 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County, NC on March 17, 1945 to Dwight and Jessie Kinlaw Lane.

Mr. Lane was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Lumberton. He worked with Home Beneficial Life Insurance Company and AIG Insurance Company for over 30 years as a life insurance agent.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Dwight Lane; two sisters, Mattie Mae Rice and Aileen Cagle; and one brother, Thomas Lane.

Mr. Lane is survived by his wife, Judy W. Lane of the home; one son, Wilbur D. Lane and wife, Janet of Lumberton, NC; one daughter, Renee Lane-Carter and husband, Jamy of Lumberton, NC; one sister, Ada Parnell of Clarkton, NC; and a special dog, \\"Copper\\".

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 3:00 PM at First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Lumberton with Rev. Timothy Bowen officiating. Entombment will follow in the Lane Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday evening, April 16, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
