James Wilbert Oxendine Sr., age 82 of 7519 NC Hwy. 130 W. Fairmont passed away Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 3pm at New Bethel Methodist Holiness Church with Revs. Scott Hammonds and Johnny Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in New Bethel Methodist Holiness Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 15, 2013 from 7-9 pm at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Arber Oxendine and Pearlie Oxendine; his wife, Flossie Lee Oxendine, his son, James Wilbert Oxendine Jr., and his daughter, Connie Lowe. He is survived by two sons, Keith Oxendine and wife Charlena of Lumberton, and Wilbert Earl Oxendine of Fairmont; five daughters, Easther Oxendine Sellers of Lumberton, Cynthia Lee Oxendine, Wanda Kay Oxendine, and Jeanette Brown, all of Baltimore, MD, and Keisha Oxendine of Fairmont; one brother, R.J. Oxendine of Fairmont; two sisters, Thelma Cintron and Velma Roberge, both of Fairmont; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
