Mr. Wayne Thomas, age 64, of Fairmont, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022 in Carroll County, GA.  He was born in Robeson County, NC on April 8, 1958 to the late Clinton Lee Thomas, Sr. and the late Annie Ruth Locklear Thomas.

Wayne is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Kathy Valliere Thomas; his two sons, Christopher Wayne Thomas (Lauren) of Elizabethtown, NC and Matthew Alan Thomas (Leigh Ann) of Charleston, SC; one brother, Clinton Lee Thomas, Jr. (Nancy) of Greensboro, NC; one sister, Vivian Thomas Locklear (Dock) of Lumberton, NC; and six grandchildren and his special canine companion, Toby.  He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, special friends, and coworkers.

A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 6:00-8:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services, Inc., 1549 Marion Stage Road in Fairmont, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 11:00AM at Baltimore Baptist Church, 171 Baltimore Church Road, Fairmont with Rev. Tim Tyner, Rev. Leslie Sessoms and Lance Rogerson officiating.  Burial will follow at the Thomas Family Cemetery, 2962 Rozier Siding Road, Lumberton.
