Mr. Wayne Gerald Staves, age 88, of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born on August 20, 1937 in Tupper Lake, NY to the late Harvey Leo Staves and the late Esther Mae Drew Staves.  He was a US Army veteran, retiring with over twenty-three years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Staves and two sisters, Sally Staves and Phyllis Cleveland.

Wayne is survived by his children, Donna Graham (Terry) of St. Pauls, NC and Michael Staves of Gastonia, NC; his grandchildren, Jordan Armstrong (Kayla), Madison Staves, Travis McLean, Jessica McLean and Tivia Paul; several great-grandchilden and a special sister-in-law, Mary Lou Bunnells.
