Mrs. Wanda Kay Russ, age 54, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on April 3, 1966. She was as a substitute teacher for the Public Schools of Robeson County.

She is survived by her parents, Gary Foster Allen and Judy Durden Allen of Lumberton, NC; her husband, Robert Russ of the home; two daughters, Whitney Holden and husband Junior of St. Pauls, NC and Tabitha Russ of Lumberton, NC; a brother, Gary Allen of Lumberton, NC; a sister, Bobbie Allen of Lumberton, NC; and a grandchild, Scarlett Rose Holden. She also leaves behind a whole host of nieces and nephews that were special in her life, all of whom knew her as Aunt Grannie.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 14, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Allen Family Cemetery, 738 Turnpike Road in Lumberton, NC with Pastor Tim Holden officiating.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of her daughter, Tabitha, 3705 Tar Heel Road in Lumberton.
