Wallace \\"Slick\\" Prevatte, age 74, of Fairmont, NC died on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Southeastern Hospice House. He was born on January 1, 1935 to Justin Prevatte and Pearl Cox Prevatte in Robeson County, NC. He worked in food service as a meat cutter.

He is survived by three daughters, Kim Ammons, Pam Callahan and Donna Sealey all of Fairmont, NC; one brother, Bill Prevatte of Fairmont, NC; four sisters, Alice Caulder of Fairmont, NC, Clematine Pipkins of Fayetteville, NC, Marilyn Whitley of Lumberton, NC and Brenda Thompson of Fairmont, NC; and six grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Fairmont with Rev. Tim Tyner and Rev. Jesse Yarborough officiating. Burial will follow at Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont, NC.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Servies in Fairmont.
