Mr. Wallace Potter Parnell age 85, of Fairmont passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.

He was born July 31, 1930 in Robeson County. He was a Lifetime Member at Centerville Baptist Church.

A visitation will be held Friday May 6, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 PM prior to the service at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

A Funeral service will be held Friday May 6, 2016 at 7:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont with Rev. Ed Wilcox officiating.

Burial will be private.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Parnell and Mollie Parnell; and three sisters, Louise Britt, Queen Britt, and Joyce Gibson.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Parnell of the home; three daughters, Fran Bauguess and husband Roy of Fairmont, Gina Jackson and husband Terry of Lumberton, and Margo Everette and husband Daryel of Lumberton; one brother, Charles Edward Parnell of Florida; three sisters, Isabel Woodell of Lumberton, Lois Gibson of Gibson, NC, and Sally Shaw of Evergreen; five grandchildren, Beth Niccolai, Wally Jackson, Maggie Bauguess, Terran Jackson, and Will Everette; one great grandchild, Noah Jackson; and a host of friends and relatives.
