Wade Thomas Rogers, 78, of Lumberton, NC died on June 18, 2009 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County on January 23, 1931. Mr. Rogers served in the United States Army. He was an electrician at IBEW.

Mr. Rogers is survived by two sons, Wade R. Rogers, \\"Rance\\", of Alaska and James T. Rogers, \\"Jimmy\\", of Charlotte, NC; three daughters, Cheryl Rogers of Lumberton, NC, Janice Cashwell of AZ and Roma Colleen Taylor of Fayetteville, NC; four brothers, Neil Rogers of Lumberton, NC, Fred Rogers and James Rogers both of FL and Roy Rogers of SC; three sisters, Hazel Hardee of Lumberton, NC, Elizabeth Furgeson of FL and Treva Taylor of Clinton, NC; seventeen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2009 at 4:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Reverend Micah Royal officiating. Burial will be in the New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 20, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton.
