Mr. Wade "Joe" Locklear, Jr., 76, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on January 15, 1946 to the late Wade Locklear and the late Marie Locklear.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his baby brother, Ted Ray Locklear, and his sister, Sandy Locklear.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lucinda Locklear of the home; two sons, Nickolus Wade Locklear (Kimberly) of Lumberton, NC and Blake Locklear (Amanda) of Fayetteville, NC; six grandchildren: Destiny Locklear, Brittany Hazel Locklear Hanf, Nickolus Wade Locklear, Jr., Brooke Locklear, Laiken Locklear, and Daisy Locklear; a great-grandson on the way, Huxley Hanf; two brothers, Larry Locklear and Phil Locklear, both of Lumberton, NC; and four sisters: Betty Burke and Jackie Emanuel (Billy), both of Lumberton, NC, Diane Lambert of Fairmont, NC, and Jerrie Chavis of Lumberton, NC.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Thursday, July 21, 2022, from 2:00-3:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM with Rev. Roosevelt Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Lumbee Memorial Gardens, 774 Moss Neck Road in Lumberton, NC.
