Virginia Grace Taylor Stephens, 91, of 529 Whiteville Avenue, died Tuesday,
November 4, 2008 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. She was born to the late John
Lemuel and Roxie Gowan Taylor on November 7, 1916 in Robeson County.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Ennis Stephens; a son, Jerry
Elton Stephens; and a daughter, Virginia Grey Britt.
She is survived by her son, Danny M. Stephens of Lumberton; four daughters, Rosa
Kirby of Richmond, VA, Peggy Little of W. Columbia, TX, Beth Hunter of Angier, NC
and Betty Willoughby of Fayetteville, NC; one brother, Knox Taylor of Fayetteville, NC;
one sister, Johnnie Lou Taylor of Winston Salem, NC; 21 grandchildren; 31 great
grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Friday, November 7, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Floyd Memorial
Chapel with Rev. Ronald Little officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 6, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Floyd
Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.
