Virginia West Edwards, age 91, of Lumberton, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Valley Hospice House in Fayetteville.  She was born in Robeson County, NC on July 24, 1933 to the late Richard West and the late Vallie Caulder West.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, George Leon Edwards; one brother, Richard W. West and one sister, Phyllis Hayes.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Edwards (Barbara) of Lumberton; her daughter, Deborah Phillips (David) of Loganville, GA; two brothers, Ronald West of Lumberton and Allen Wayne West (Jackie) of Rowland; two sisters, Linda Haymore of Lumberton and Catherine West of Raleigh; four grandchildren, Ashley Strickland (Bobby Lee), Megan Norris (Terron), Brittany Bethea (Brandon) and Tolon Clanton and six great-grandchildren.

A time of visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 from 10:00-11:00AM  at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

A funeral service will follow the visitation on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 11:00AM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mike Bowen officiating.  Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.
