Virginia Grace Cox Baxley, 82, of Fayetteville, NC, died February 1, 2022, at Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital in Fayetteville, NC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on July 16, 1939 to the late Ernest Lee Cox and the late Fodie Ellen Foley Cox.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. W.C. Baxley, and two brothers, R.C. Cox and Ashton Cox.

She is survived by two sons, Mickey Jerome Baxley and Chuck Baxley (Kristi), all of Fayetteville, NC; a daughter, Sandra Baxley Smith (Freddie) of Fremont, NC; a brother, Bobby Cox (Peggy) of Lumberton, NC; eight grandchildren: Sarah Baxley, Ryne Baxley, Leigh Panashy, Chris Smith, Larkin Baxley, Brennan Baxley, Amber Baxley, and Amanda Baxley; and a great-grandchild, Baxley Panashy.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton, NC, with Rev. Eddie Cox officiating. Following the service, the family will receive friends and loved ones at the graveside.
