Mrs. Viola Elkins Butler age 93, entered into eternal rest at home in Fairmont on Friday September 29, 2017.

Mrs. Butler was born in 1923 in Columbus County to George F. Elkins and Flossie Masters Elkins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Butler; a sister, Lillie Bell Elkins Ross of Abbottsburg; brothers, George W. Elkins, and James Clarence Elkins of Whiteville, and grandson, Stephen P. Lewis of New Bern.

She is survived by daughter, Betty Jo Butler Lewis of Fairmont; sons, Horace P. Butler, and Jack E. Butler, both of Mount Pleasant, SC; seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Frankie Mae Benton of Riegelwood, NC, and Willette Rider of Whiteville, NC;

Funeral services will be held Wednesday October 4, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont with Rev. Joe Bounds officiating.

Visitation will be immediately following the service at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

Burial will be private.
