Mrs. Vicky Rose Hunt Sarmiento, age 65, of Fairmont, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 23, 2022, while at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC.  She was born in Robeson County, NC on September 12, 1956 to the late Varsie Clinton Hunt and to Ruby Lee Emanuel Hunt.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Fredrick Ray Hunt; a sister, Peggy Gail Lane; her brother-in-law, Tony Ray Lane; and a nephew, Joshua Ronald Lane.

Vicky is survived by her husband of forty-one years, Pablo Sarmiento of the home; her mother, Ruby Lee Emanuel Hunt of Fairmont; her two daughters, Lakeshia Locklear (Marcus Ray) of Fairmont, NC and Monika Sarmiento of the home; two brothers, Varsie Junior Hunt (Vanessa) of Harrells, NC and Michael Hunt of Fairmont, NC; one sister, Ruby Gail Hunt of Raeford, NC; a special sister-in-law, Veronica Hunt; four grandchildren: Lucas Sarmiento (Selena), Logan Page Locklear, and Dominic and Juliana Sarmiento; and two great-grandchildren, Bryson Dakota and Bryleigh Mae Sarmiento. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.

A time of visitation will be held prior to the service on Thursday, July 28, 2022, from 1:00-3:00PM at Benson Chapel Baptist Church in Rowland, NC.

A funeral service will follow the visitation on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 3:00PM at Benson Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Locklear officiating.  Burial will follow at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Fairmont.
