Vicki Sue Taylor Ivey, age 87, of Lumberton passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. Vicki was born in Robeson County on October 15, 1937, to Roy Turner Loman and Iris Lee Hamilton. In addition to her parents, Vicki was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Delinor Ivey; her father who adopted her after the death of her birth father, Harold A. Taylor; sister, Jean McAvoy; and brother; Bill Taylor.

Vicki will be remembered for the love and care she gave to her children and grandchildren. She worked for many years at Belk in Lumberton as a beauty consultant. She loved to cook for her family. She looked forward to trips to the mountains and Gatlinburg, TN was her favorite place to visit. Vicki was privileged to visit the Holy Lands 6 times. Vicki always said she would rather live in the country than in the city and she did this until her death.

Vicki is survived by her daughters, Cindy Ivey and husband, Jerry of Lumberton, NC, and Sarah Lynn Hedgpeth and husband, Victor of Supply, NC; son, John Paul Ivey of Lumberton; brother, David Taylor and wife, Roni Lee of Cross, SC; sister; Laura Lee Britt and husband John of Lumberton, NC; grandchildren: Nicole Strickland, Makenze Blanks, Jason Ivey, Laura Meagan Lassiter, Jamie McMahan, and Jonathan Hedgepeth; great-grandchildren: Sean Barker, Channing Strickland, Ivey Alexis Lassiter, Courtlyn Harper, Caison Rozier, Brooks Blanks, Nolan Blanks, Katelyn McMahan, Cameron McMahan, and River Hedgpeth; and a great-great-grandchild, Brayleigh Oxendine.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at East Lumberton Baptist Church, 201 Old Whiteville Rd, Lumberton, NC 28358. Funeral Service will follow visitation at 11:00 AM on July 15, 2025 at East Lumberton Baptist Church, 201 Old Whiteville Rd, Lumberton, NC. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery, 400 E. 24th Street, Lumberton, NC.
