Vickey McCormick Jones, 72, of Fairmont, NC, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on March 2, 1950 to the late Hubert McCormick and the late Mary Floyd McCormick.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry McCormick; and her daughters, Melissa Gail Baxley and Tracy Lynn Smith.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Baxley and wife Gina; four grandchildren: Amber, Deion, Miranda, and Phyllis; her great-grandson, Kevin; her sister, Peggy Britt; and her ex-husband, Stanley Jones.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Gardens of Faith Cemetery, 5190 Fayetteville Road in Lumberton, NC with Rev. Gary Chavis officiating.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of Jimmy & Gina Baxley.
