Vanessa Rae Williams Hunt, age 59, of Fairmont, NC passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC.

She was born August 4, 1965 in Onslow County. Vanessa was preceded in death by her birth parents, Leroy Williams and Ester Rae Oxendine Williams. She was also preceded in death by her parents who raised her, Frank and Ethel Oxendine; a sister, Myrtle Lowery; a brother Stanley Oxendine.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Mickey Hunt of the home; five sons, Adrian Williams of Lumberton, NC and Martin Dale Williams of the home, Joshua Dean Hunt of Fayetteville, NC, Mickey Wayne Hunt and Earnest Ray Hunt both of Lumberton, NC; one sister, Patricia Graham (Bruce) of Lumberton, NC; two brothers, Frank Oxendine, Jr. of Lumberton, NC and Thurman Williams of Fairmont, NC; nine grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

A time of visitation will be held Sunday, November 10, 2024 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Eastside Free Will Baptist Church 2691 Dallas Road, Lumberton, NC. The funeral will immediately follow in the church at 2:00 PM with Revs. Billy Burns and Bruce Ransom officiating. Burial will follow in Northside Independent Church Cemetery, 378 Circle Drive, Lumberton, NC.
