Mr. Tommy Haynes, 67, of Troy, NC, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022, at Atrium Health Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. He was born in Loris, SC on November 13, 1954 to the late Walter Robert Haynes, Sr. and the late Helen Whittington Haynes. He loved the Lord and spent many years serving as a local pastor for the United Methodist Church.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Leslie Haynes.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Connie Walters Haynes of the home; two sons, Joey Haynes and Brett Haynes, both of the home; two brothers, Walter Robert Haynes, Jr. (Linda) of Fairmont, NC and Kim Kevin Haynes (Ann) of Graham, NC; and one sister, Ada Lynn Edwards of Fairmont, NC.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Eddie Hill and Rev. Justin Wells officiating.

Burial will follow at Walters Family Cemetery in Orrum, NC.
