Tommy Shelby Davis, age 60, of Lumberton, NC died on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County, NC on May 2, 1950 to John Carl and Grace Barnes Davis. He worked as a Department Manager for Alamac American Knits.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Patricia Davis Hoffman.

Mr. Davis is survived by his mother, Grace Barnes Davis of Lumberton, NC; his wife, Sarah Taylor Davis of the home; one daughter Hollie Davis Roach and husband, Billy of Lumberton, NC; two step-daughters, Crystal Parnell Townsend and husband, Dalery of Lumberton, NC and Tracy Parnell of the home; four brothers, Johnny Davis and wife, Brenda of Sanford, NC, Jimmy Davis and wife, Jean of Riegelwood, NC, Billy Davis and wife, Susan and Dennis Davis all of Lumberton, NC; one sister, Susan Davis Evans and husband Frankie of Lumberton, NC; and seven grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lumberton with Rev. Jamie Watts and Rev. Chip Bass officiating. Burial will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton.

Visitation will be on Sunday evening, June 20, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
