Mr. TJ Snipes, age 61 of Fair Bluff, NC and formerly of Fairmont, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 at his home. A Memorial service will be held Monday, August 10, 2015 at 7:00PM at Baltimore Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Tyner officiating. Visitation will follow the service at the church. Mr. Snipes was born December 21, 1953 in Robeson County. He is survived by his wife, M.J. Snipes of the home; one son, Joshua James Snipes of Boardman; two daughters, Amy Brixey of Lumberton and Ashley Butler of Charleston, SC; his father, Bill Strickland of Fairmont; three brothers, Billy Strickland of Lumberton, Larry Strickland and Terry Strickland both of Fairmont; seven sisters, Peggy Ivey of Lumberton, Carolyn Snipes, Gloria Andrews, Jackie Strickland, Betty Ivey, Cynthia Johnson, all of Fairmont, and Kathy Cooper of Mullins, SC; four grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Baltimore Baptist Church Building Fund 171 Baltimore Church Rd. Fairmont, NC 28340. Arrangement are being handled by Floyd Funeral Services of Fairmont.
