Timmy Lee Rising, age 51, of Fairmont, NC passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, GA. He was born in Bladen County, NC on June 30, 1962 to the late Neil Rising, Jr. and Lannie Connor Rising. He worked as a contractor for poultry plants. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Rising Ellis. Mr. Rising is survived by his wife, Rosie Ann Norton Rising of the home; daughters, Aubrey R. Smith and husband Michael of Bladenboro and April Rising of the home; brothers, Avery Rising and wife Caroline of White Oak and Nicky Rising and wife Sabrina of Whiteville; a sister, Janice Hilburn of Cary; a grandson, Gage Smith; best friends, Mark Williams, Alberto Romero, and Margaret Norton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton with Rev. Joe Bounds and Mr. Mark Locklear officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
