Thomas Wayne Leary, age 68, of Lumberton, NC died on Thursday, May 04, 2017 at the Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.  He was born in Miami, FL of August 25, 1948 to the late Albert J. & Agnes Jones Leary.  He is a veteran of the United States Navy and then was a corrections officer for the New York Department of Corrections.

Mr. Leary is survived by his wife, Sharon; sons, Tony Newbauer of Sherburne, NY and Jeffrey Coleman of Kenmore, NY; daughters, Kelly Fredricks (Steven) of Norwich, NY, Regina Newbauer of Prescott Valley, AZ, Tammy Newbauer of Prescott Valley, AZ, Lisa Donovan (Bobby) of Lumberton, and Joyce Dickson (Michael) of Great River, NY; grandchildren, Nicole, Mackenna, Ian, Keegan, Scott, Dante, Amanda, Alexandra, Shane, Jayson, Michael, Brody, and Kylie; and a great-grandchild, Jayla.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Episcopal Church in Lumberton with Pastor Gene Wayman officiating.  Following the service a wake will be held at the home of Lisa and Bobby Donovan.
