Thomas \\"Dougle\\" Adams, Jr., age 78, died on May 18, 2010 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on April 27, 1932 to Thomas Ivey Adams, Sr. and Lillian Barnes Adams. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and formerly worked at Universal Packaging Company.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph M. Adams.

Mr. Adams is survived by his wife, Laura Janice Adams of the home; two sons, Thomas Duane Adams and wife Willi and Tony Adams all of Lumberton, NC; a daughter, Deborah Adams of Lumberton, NC; a shared daughter with Dolli and Jimmie Adams, Sonya Rozier and husband Wade of Lumberton, NC; two brothers, Jimmie Adams and wife Dolli and Robert Adams; five grandchildren, Christopher, Rock, April, Melissa and Carr and four great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 11:00 AM at East Lumberton Church of God with Rev. Bruce Brumfield and Rev. L.F. Hatchell officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.

A visitation will be held on Thursday evening, May 20, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
