Thomas Allen Hanna, age 59, died at his residence in Lumberton, NC, Monday, June 24, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Verna Willoughby Hanna of the home, stepdaughter Robbin Baxley and special friend Garrett Mercer of Lumberton, stepson Rodney Baxley and wife Sharon of Bladenboro, two grandchildren, Rodd Baxley and Hayley Baxley, two brothers, Franklin Hanna and wife Rose and Levan Hanna and wife Dale of South Carolina, and two sisters, Delores Joye and husband Bill and Melinda Williams and husband David also of South Carolina. Also special to him was his great nephew Tyler Gilpin and his great niece Lexie Joye. Allen had 10 nieces, 8 nephews, 13 great nieces and 14 great nephews. Born October 25, 1953, he is preceded in death by his parents, Carolyn and Dalton Hanna. Allen was known for his giving and loving spirit, hard work ethic and love of the outdoors. He loved deer hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle and spending time with family and friends.
